Founding Executive Director/ Chief of Surgery- Matthew Toscano, DVM
Dr Mat graduated from Ross University in 2013 and completed his clinical year at Cornell University. While at Ross, he became President of the Association of Shelter Veterinarians student group and headed the only animal rescue group on the island.
Learning the complexities of shelter medicine and high quality/high volume spay/neuter at the San Francisco SPCA, he then joined the Community Medicine Division of the ASPCA focusing on access to care for underserved communities. Combining his experience in shelter and community medicine, he became the first Chief Veterinarian at Pasadena Humane Society serving as an executive team member.
Moving back to the east coast with his wife and two children, Dr Mat returned to the ASPCA to serve the residents of Liberty City in Miami-Dade County as the Veterinary Manager at the local Community Veterinary Clinic.
With the founding of Street Cat Clinic in 2024, Dr Mat has dedicated his career to the focused efforts of improving the lives of outdoor cats through spay/neuter and access to veterinary care.

Administrative Assistant- Deanna Toscano, RN
Earning a BS in Communications, Deanna went on to graduate from Wagner College with a BS in Nursing. Deanna was exposed to the world of animal welfare through fostering medically needy animals. Combining her love of communications and medicine, she is excited to join Street Cat Clinic as the Administrative Assistant ensuring the patients, trappers and team receive the necessary resources to continue the mission.

Certified Veterinary Technician- Sarah Chen
Sarah graduated from Miami Dade College with an Associate in Science Degree in Veterinary Technology. During her studies, she gained extensive hands-on experience and met the standards set by the American Veterinary Medical Association, earning her certification. Passionate about working with cats, Sarah is thrilled to begin her career as a Veterinary Technician at Street Cat Clinic.

Veterinary Assistant- Kass Saunders
Kass graduated from the University of Georgia, where she studied sociology and theatre. While her academic background is diverse, her passion for animals has always been at the forefront of her life. Her love for animals, particularly cats, began in middle school when she rescued her first cat while vacationing in Barbados. This experience sparked a lifelong commitment to animal welfare and deepened her bond with cats. Over the years, Kassadi has fostered numerous dogs, cats and kittens, and actively participated in TNR. These experiences, along with her genuine love for animals, have provided her with a practical understanding of animal care. As a veterinary assistant, she is excited to bring her passion and skills to the team, where she hopes to make a meaningful contribution to animal welfare.

Board President- Robin Post, RVT
Robin started her medical career as a veterinary assistant in the shelter medicine department of the San Francisco SPCA, then assuming a supervisory role in the SFSPCA Spay/Neuter clinic. Before joining Animal Fix Clinic as the Director of Clinic Operations, Robin was Supervisor of Off-Site Spay-Neuter Services, where she coordinated MASH-style spay/neuter clinics and helped develop spay/neuter programs at municipal shelters. She is also a reserve field technician for HSVMA–RAVS.
Robin has overseen the anesthesia of tens of thousands of dogs and cats (from half-pound kittens to feral dogs to geriatric patients) in just about every imaginable physical condition. She received the Linda Markland Outstanding RVT of the Year Award in 2023.
Robin lives in California with her cats, and Marge from Muttville, and Wizard the chihuahua. Robin is a RECOVER Certified ALS Rescuer and a Fear Free Certified Professional.

Board Secretary- Sara Maria Muriello
Sara works as the Senior Program Manager for the Pet-Inclusive Housing Initiative (PIHI) at Michelson Found Animals Foundation. Sara has worked in the animal welfare field for over a decade, leading operations teams at Pasadena Humane in Pasadena, California and directing project management at the Santa Fe Animal Shelter and Humane Society. Sara recently completed the ABA-approved paralegal studies program at the University of California, San Diego and holds certificates in nonprofit management and animal shelter management from the University of California, Irvine and University of the Pacific, respectively.
Sara graduated with a BA degree from the University of California, Irvine.
Sara is committed to helping keep more animals in their homes, wherever those homes may be.
Outside of work and volunteering, Sara enjoys hiking and traveling. Sara lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Board Treasurer- Elisa Martin MSc RVT
Elisa Martin has a MSc in agricultural economics. After a short stint as an economist, she became a CA licensed veterinary technician in 2008. As a technician she worked in a small animal general practice, HQHV spay/neuter as well as the emergency department of a small animal specialty referral hospital. In 2015, Elisa started working in shelter medicine full time and realized just how passionate she is about this specialty. Other professional interests include anesthesia, emergency and critical care, teaching, team building and, most recently, humane law enforcement.
