our mission
our mission is to spay/neuter and improve the veterinary care of every outdoor cat in southeast florida
how do we do it
we stay in our lane…
we do not foster
we do not adopt
we do not trap
by collaborating with other groups who are already doing a wonderful job providing these services, we can remain laser focused on efficiently and safely spay/neutering as many outdoor cats as we can
-
outdoor cats are domestic cats living outdoors. they go by all different names including feral cats, community cats, alley cats, or our favorite- street cats! they can be friendly or not so much. they can be cared for by someone or not. they can be born outdoors, escaped an indoor home or abandoned by a previous owner and left to fend for themselves.
-
the short answer is no one knows. the simple answer is too many! there are a lot of estimates ranging from 30-100 million in the USA.
-
there are not enough homes for all of the cats being born outdoors. by doing nothing the cycle of illness, cruelty and death continues for vulnerable kittens born outdoors. subjected to the extreme elements, mother cats have to battle for survival while caring for their fragile young. help us end this cycle humanely.
-
love dogs? so do we. by providing spay/neuter of outdoor cats we hope to reduce the burden on local animal shelters and rescue groups allowing them to allocate more time for dogs.
love wildlife? so do we. by providing spay/neuter of outdoor cats we hope to reduce their expansive overpopulation decreasing predation on local wildlife. we want the same thing- less cats being born outdoors.
love public health? so do we. by providing a rabies vaccine and flea treatment to every qualifying cat that we spay/neuter we support human health.
don’t love any of these? how about not being woken up by yowling cats mating at 2am? we got you.
